Real Estate company located in New York City looking for a Senior Network Systems Engineer
The position will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing a stable and reliable networking backbone for our west coast operations. We are looking for someone with excellent written and verbal communication skills that will interact directly with members of the management team. Responsible for testing, repairing and/or replacement of malfunctions of system or network failures promptly. The technical knowledge of MS Windows Server environments and experience with active directory is required. The technical knowledge and experienced troubleshooting of Cisco routers and switches is required.
Responsibilities - Candidates will be responsible for the following tasks:
• Oversee and administer IT infrastructure
• Provide vision and planning for maintaining a scalable, reliable, high-performance systems architecture
• Configure, deploy, and ongoing maintenance of networking communication between our home office as well as our numerous remote sites
• Maintain and administer Active Directory, MS Exchange Servers, and Blackberry Exchange Servers
• Troubleshooting with MS Windows servers and Cisco routers and switches
• Understanding and utilizing network monitoring tools to optimize performance across the network
• Understanding of the latest security issues and threats and best practices and technologies being used to counter them
Qualifications
• BA/BS degree in Computer related field
• 10+ years of MS Windows Server or related administration experience
• Proven expertise with designing and operating high-capacity enterprise architectures based on Windows Server, Exchange and Cisco
• In depth knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, FTP, SMTP, and SNMP protocols
• Experience with storage, security, imaging, virtual machine technologies, and network change management tools
• Expertise with Sophos, Linux, disaster recovery, clustering, and SAN technologies a plus
• Experience with network design for load balancers, VPN routers, Riverbed, VM Ware, VOIP
• MCSE, Cisco, and PMI certifications a plus
• Exceptional attention to detail, analytical, and problem solving skills
